One of the objectives of the IDEE is to be open to public administrations, private sector and citizens, not only making its available standardized data, metadata and geographic services, but also offering the possibility them of integrating its own data, metadata, and services in this infrastructure.

With the objective to begin to give this service, from to IDEE has been decided to start up one first stage that allows integrating external metadata and services. This first stage must allow so much one first taking of contact with the IDEE for its contributor’s potentials, like a mechanism to outline and to sharpen the protocols and tools that allow these contributions, and an average to detect and to correct the problems and the doubts more frequent than they arise. It is requested therefore, and in advance, patience to the contributors potentials before the problems that will appear, and understanding with the fact that the SDIs is only taking off, and that still will cost something of time that procedures, rules and recommendations become stabilized.

In this first stage, it will be possible to integrate only maps services that carry out with the WMS standard from OGC Consortium and geographic metadata create conforming to the Metadata Spanish Core and the ISO 19115 ( by example, the metadata create with the editor “CatMDEdit”, provided by the IDEE)
